The Joe N showing is a part of LED claim group and is located on the eastern shore of Adams Lake. The area has been explored since the early 1900‘s with a historic adit, of unknown age, occurring adjacent to the showing. See the Beca (MINFILE 082M 055) occurrence for more information.

Regionally, the area lies within the Mississippian to lower Cambrian Age Eagle Bay Assemblage that is a belt approximately 100 kilometres long by 25 kilometres wide. Within the Eagle Bay Assemblage a Devonian Age formation of volcanic rocks ranging from andesites to rhyolites interbedded with sedimentary rocks starts in the North Barrier Lakes area, continues south eastward down the Squaam Bay valley, crosses Adams Lake and continues through the LED claims to beyond Nikwikwai Creek. This formation has been altered to phyllites and chlorite-sericite-quartz schist plus numerous other schists of variable composition during green schist facies metamorphism and two major phases of folding.

Locally, the Joe N adit was driven on a quartz sulphide zone that crosses the shoreline outcrop paralleling the local schistosity at 140°/25° to 35° north. The width of the zone is 1.5 to 2.0 metres and is made up of irregular lenses, stringers and knots of quartz and manganese stained and oxidized sulphides with variable amounts of pyrite, pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite and minor galena and sphalerite.

In 2008, sampling of highly oxidized manganese stained quartz sulphides returned up to 6.60 grams per tonne gold and 2.65 per cent copper. A 4.0 metre channel sample returned 3.29 grams per tonne gold and 1.65 per cent copper; while six representative samples, S10 to S16, returned an arithmetic average, over 10.0 metres, of 60.0 grams per tonne silver, 0.55 per cent copper, 0.43 per cent lead and 0.22 per cent zinc (Assessment Report 30602).

The Joe N 1 area is located 100 metres southeast of the Joe N adit. The quartz sulphide zone is exposed in a 1929 pit and in road cuts to the northwest and northeast. Two samples across the 0.3 to 0.5 metre sulphide zone averaged 6769 parts per million copper and 3685 parts per million lead (Assessment Report 30602).

The Joe N 2 area has one massive quartz sulphide exposure on a road cut. A sample across 1.2 metres of massive quartz sulphide assayed 76 grams per tonne silver and 2.48 per cent copper (Assessment Report 30602).
